How are our SAT batches conducted?

Course structure

  1. All classes are conducted online.
  2. Time: Every class at 8:00 PM, Bangladesh time. (If there will be any change in time then it will be updated on the schedule link: satinfo.org/schedule and LMS)
  3. Total 32 lectures will be finished in given days
    1. Orientation = 1 lecture
    2. Math and EBRW = 16 lectures each
    3. Mock exams = total four sessions, taken online. Note: our LMS does not support module-dependent sections. Meaning, the second modules are not dependent on the performance of the first module.
    4. One session on creating your College Board account.
  4. 16 lectures will be on Reading and Writing
  5. 16 lectures will be on Math
  6. Each student will have an online Learning Management System (LMS) account, also access to a special mobile application of the LMS.  We use “Moodle”.
  7. Under ideal circumstances, students will be connected to each other through a special Facebook group where the teachers and head of the organization will be available. The link to the Facebook group is here: fb.com/groups/satbyaemers
  8. Classes will be conducted via Zoom or Google meet. The Zoom link is found  Students should join 5 minutes before the class since our lecture begins with a short and easy quiz (called Pre-quiz).

General structure of 32 lectures:

    1. A 5-minute quiz is known as Initial Readiness Assurance Test (Pre-quiz). It has only 4 vocabulary and 2 easy questions.
      1. Students can immediately see their performance and explanations to the questions when they submit the quiz (or run out of time).
      2. After the quiz, the teacher discusses one or two questions. Actually, the students by themselves usually understand the questions from reading their explanations.
    2. A 30-minute block of discussion (called Lecture Block -1)
    3. A short quiz containing 3 questions. Duration: 5 minutes.  (called “Micro Quiz – 1”)
      1. Students can see their performance and explanation to the questions when they submit it, as usual.
      2. Teacher spends 5 more minutes after the quiz to address questions of the students.
    4. A 30-minute block of discussion (called Lecture Block -2)
    5. A short quiz containing 3 questions. Duration: 5 minutes.  (called “Micro Quiz – 2”)
      1. Students can see their performance and explanation to the questions when they submit it, as usual.
      2. Teacher spends 5 more minutes after the quiz to address questions of the students.
    6. At this point, the 90-minute period is usually finished. Now the teacher provides a password to another quiz known as Final Readiness Assurance Test (fRAT). It does not have any time limit and students can take it immediately or afterward.
    7. The LMS will have one or two more quizzes called homework. These quizzes do not have a password or time limit.
    8. Our LMS is so powerful that we can monitor when and how the students did their fRAT and homework. If the student is late to the class or remains absent, then our teacher sends emails and messages directly from the LMS.
    9. The mobile app enables the student to take the lessons and quizzes even offline.

The 4 mock tests

  1. Mock tests will be given online, which will have the facility of immediate grading and explanation. At this time, the online mocks are not module-dependent.
